Most shows are next to or across from one another for nearly a mile. So, when you have found a parking place make careful note of location. Ask the parking attendant for the name of the lot or field you are at. If you do not, when it is time to leave, you may still not have any idea where to find your car after searching 20 fields, and spending hours doing it.

WARNING - Do NOT park in any unmarked areas. If you park anywhere not specifically designated as parking along Route 20 or Route 19 - your car will definitely be towed. If you are picking up an item you've purchased and have parked on Rt 20, do not leave your car unattended. Towing of illegally parked cars in town is BIG Business!

Always wear comfortable shoes & clothing, suitable for walking. You will do a lot. In May, remember rain gear. In July, don't forget that hat and sunscreen. In September, have clothing that you can layer up or down as temperatures change. Replenish fluids regularly, no matter what time of year.
All fields are required by town law to provide access to sanitary facilities. These portable units have come a long way toward comfort and "acceptability" and you will find them no problem to use.
Carry some tissues. Those port-o-potties may run out of paper right before you need them.
While there are numerous food and drink booths scattered throughout the entire show, the New England Motel has the largest and most popular food court. It features a wide variety of food caterers to meet your individual taste.
If planning to see specific dealers, know their locations & setup dates prior to coming, if possible.
If you are thinking about stopping back later to revisit a dealer, be sure to ask the field's name, the dealer's name and the space number. Thousands have gotten lost making their way back to a dealer by trying to remember a barn, fence or brook. There are many and they all look alike.
ALWAYS get a receipt if you are picking up merchandise later. Be sure it shows the field, dealer name and space number. Verify what time the dealer will close. In case you later find a problem with a guaranteed piece, you should also get the dealer's phone number and other contact information.
Carry on your person emergency contact numbers in case of accident or injury.
Write a phone number on your key chain and glasses. Don't think you won't lose them!
Don't forget to bring your cell phone charger! Auto club. Insurance cards.
If you lose your cell phone, call it. Someone might have found it.
Not all dealers will take your check or credit card. Some will deal only with cash or travelers checks. Be prepared for that.
You will need some way to carry any merchandise you purchase (Something like a backpack or shopping cart - the kind you pull, not push). Otherwise you will be making trips back and forth to your car after each purchase.
Most dealers are happy to haggle. You will find them more receptive to, "Will you accept.....?", or "Can you offer a better price?" Stay away from, "I'll give you!"
Be sure to start and end your visit at our location!
